my Malwarebytes was only running a scan for 10 seconds or so. I removed my version and now cannot re-load a version for my computer. It is an older computer, (windows xp). I have a premium key and wanted to re-install a premiu version, but can't do it.

Malwarebytes Windows Xp

You can install the free version of Revo uninstaller, set Hunter mode to ON, then reinstall malwarebytes. Hunter mode keeps track off all location, both file and registry, where software installs to. So this should give Revo the required information to uninstall correctly and fully using Revo uninstaller's "moderate" mode.

That's something NortonLifeLock will have to clarify when they eventually re-post the product update announcement at -update-announcements/norton-protection-end-support-announcement-windows-xp-and-windows (or you'll just have to wait and see what happens after 28-Feb-2021).

I don't think we'll have any clarity until the product update announcement at -update-announcements/norton-protection-end-support-announcement-windows-xp-and-windows is re-posted. I checked this morning and that link is still throwing an "Access Denied" error.

download and run this: and then download the Free version of Anti-Malware from malwarebytes.org Be sure to delete all of the infected files (Even if they are System or Boot) After running each utility, you will be asked to reboot your computer; you will want to do so immediately. (Run TDSSKiller, then reboot; install malwarebytes, run it, then reboot)
